This is the same game, played at always depressing Tropicana Field in St. Pete. At least the Trop got rid of the field turf that looked like it was leaking some sort of fluid.

How many bowl division schools are in Florida? This one got off to a rough start for the FIU quarterback who was tackled and fractured his collarbone on the first series. Not the way to start your bowl game in your home town.
FIU was pretty much doomed after that. The Owls stumbled around for much of the first half before scoring their first TD. That's all they needed.
Temple 28 FIU 3 - this was a stinker. My pick, FIU, double stink. Record now 3-5.
What did I eat: Some leftover reheated pizza and a salad. More salad than pizza. Did you know the best way to reheat pizza is in a frying pan? A couple of minutes on medium heat, then put in a few drops of water, put a lid on the pan, turn off the heat and wait one minute.
Bowl swag: Gift suite, Oakley backpack, neck pillow. That neck pillow should have come in handy for FIU's injured QB on their bus ride back to wherever their campus is.

Look at those back tires. It's like an ATV with a 60-inch deck. And zero turn! And only $4,999!! Wait, that's a lot for a mower and I only have one third of an acre. Still, I may just go to a dealership to try one out. You can race this son of a bitch. I know that because Temple and FIU players did just that.
FIU is the college in Miami (The U is in Coral Gables). Each year FAU and FIU play each other in what they call the Shula Bowl. More than you ever wanted to know.
