Boca Raton Bowl - Akron vs. Florida Atlantic
Home game for FAU. Not the first time this will happen in bowl season.
One quarter and done here. This was my highest confidence pick as it was easily expected to be one of the most lopsided games on the schedule. Lane Kiffin has put together a high powered offense and they scored at will. Some might say they ran up the score.
The most interesting thing about this game was actually the news prior to the game that Kiffin had signed a new 10-year deal with FAU. What's the over/under on how long he actually stays? I'm going one year.

My pick: Florida Atlantic, record back to even at 3-3.
What did I eat: Dinner - roast chicken, potatoes and asparagus that I cooked. For what it's worth, chicken is far superior to turkey. Next Thanksgiving I vow to roast two chickens or have Steaksgiving and have bone-in ribeyes.
Players swag: Online gift suite "and an assortment of bowl-branded items." I bet those players are pretty excited about some Cheribundi branded swag.
Fun Fact: Florida Atlantic University is the number one employer in Boca Raton, Florida. Second? Office Depot, it's their headquarters. The Office Depot is the “Official Office Products Partner of NASCAR." None of these facts are actually that much fun. But here's one, Carrot Top is an FAU alum.
No doubt he was watching from Las Vegas.
I took two classes at FAU to complete my MA in English. Very nice campus--it has a kick-ass movie theater that shows movies you won't see at the cineplexes, and it serves beer and wine. Kiffin has a weekly show on the local ESPN affiliate, and it is hysterical. FAU built an extremely large buy-out into his contract, so either way, they win.
